FAQ About DUI Arrests in Hood River County, Oregon

A lot of our clients from Hood River County commonly ask us, “What is a DMV Hearing?” If you have never been arrested for a DUI, then you are likely unaware that the DMV has it’s own hearing process to determine whether or not (and for how long) your license will be suspended for. This process is also called the “implied consent” process. When you are arrested, the arresting officer will hand you the “Implied Consent Combined Report (ICCR)—usually a long yellow piece of paper that might double as a temporary driver’s license. You have 10 days from your arrest to request a hearing with the DMV. This will be your chance to contest the suspension of your license.

Because the window is such a tight one, and being arrested can cause a lot of stress and hardship, this window can pass without you evening noticing. As you are deciding what attorney is the right fit for you, consider this 10-day window. Reynolds Defense Firms attorney’s can make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to defend yourself and contest your license suspension with the DMV. The sooner you make your decision on representation, the better your chances are at not missing this DMV window. Reynolds Defense Firm might not be the best fit for you, but if you are a good person facing a DUI charge and possible license suspension, we might be what you are looking for. Of course there are the usual winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and sledding, but the warmer months offer camping, hiking, fishing, disc golf, and sliding down the mountain at Skii Bowl! And while it might be a little pricey, the Timberline Lodge is a definite bucket list item, especially if you are a fan of “The Shining”. If you’re from the area, you are likely aware of this farming community in the Columbia River Gorge called Parkdale. If you’re into photography, especially landscape photography, Parkdale is the place for you to go. It has rolling hills, mountain views, orchards, and the most picturesque scenery that will be perfect for your photography portfolio. You can explore a 7,000 year old lava flow, with the best access being from the Laurance Lake Road. If all these activities have made you hungry, you grab a bite at the Apple Valley BBQ. This community is located along the Mt. Hood Scenic Byway (Highway 35).
