In most cases, the discovery is provided shortly after the arraignment, and before any court hearing where you are expected to make any important decision about your case. 

While your attorney will gather information and evidence related to your case through formal discovery, they may also learn valuable information about the evidence against you by attending the DMV Administrative Hearing as well. Depending on the court your case is being held at, the DMV process may happen before or after your arraignment.
